A less bullish second panel also gave predictions. According to Forkast, they reduced an earlier target to $65,185 as 2022 gradually ended. The bitcoin exchange Changelly projects that in 2023, the price of one bitcoin will typically range between $53,039 and $64,734.
The founder of crypto research firm Token Metrics, Ian Balina, believes bitcoin is in a downturn because of general investor skepticism on risk assets. Still, he also sees the development of Web 3.0 as an advantage. Bitcoin is an old-school cryptocurrency, which may give Web 3.0 coins like Polkadot and chainlink an advantage in the long run.
More practical applications for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are emerging. Since trading isn’t the only thing you can use them for, Bitcoin and these new assets may rise again.

Fast forward to 2021, Bitcoin had an all-time high of $68,789 on Nov 10. Before the end of the year, it had fallen to $46,164. Between January and May 2022, Bitcoin's price was $47,445. It continued to decline, and for the first time since December 2020, the price of bitcoin fell to $23,000.
